The State of Israel & the State of Palestine

The State of Israel (Medinat Yisrael) founded in 1948, is a Parliamentary Democracy. It is based on a multi-party system which reflects the ethnic, cultural and ideological multiplicity in Israeli society.

The Israeli Law of Return (1950) allows every person of Jewish religion or of Jewish ascendancy to make its alyah (take up residence) in Israel. With equal right can take advantage of this Law: the spouse, the children, the spouse's children and the grandchildren.

The State of Palestine

The State of Palestine was proclaimed on November 15, 1988 by the Palestinian National Council, the legislative body of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), in Algiers. West Bank and Gaza Strip are Israeli-occupied with current status subject to the Israeli-Palestinian Interim Agreement—permanent status to be determined through further negotiation.
